The Children’s Montessori School

CASA One Licensed Program

CASA One, our licensed pre-school program, is tailored to the youngest students (ages two-and-a-half to five) in our school community. We ensure their care, comfort and safety as we offer a variety of learning opportunities, in subjects from mathematics to music. Encouraged and supported by their teachers and classmates, our CASA One students build the foundation for their montessori education.

Our Philosophy

Our CASA program focuses on the development of the whole child, following the montessori method of education, and adheres to the strict guidelines outlined by both the Canadian Association of Montessori Teachers and the Day Nurseries Act. Our classrooms contain five teaching areas which encourage practical life activities, sensorial, language, mathematics, and cultural studies.

The goals of our program are to:

1)      Develop positive attitudes toward school

2)      Encourage self-confidence

3)      Assist in building concentration, curiosity, initiative and persistence

4)      Foster inner security and order
