A message from the principal
Established in 1997, CMS opened with just one Casa classroom. This is where Jennifer Connelly began as a Casa teacher. In 2006, Jennifer and Brendan Connelly took over CMS and began a new journey. Today, CMS includes six classrooms, a two-room licensed Pre-Casa child care program, an extensive music program, French language studies from kindergarten to grade 8, a summer camp, and a supportive school community.
At The Children’s Montessori & Preparatory School (CMS), we provide our students with experiences that ignite their imaginations and foster a love of learning. Adapted to today’s educational environment, our philosophy is guided by both the Montessori approach and Ontario’s elementary curriculum. At CMS learning is student-centred and tailored for each child. From preschool to grade eight, our innovative programming and small class sizes prepare our students for all aspects of life.

We have a dedicated team of teachers and staff members who prepare our students for success through an enriched educational experience, which includes an impressive balance of arts, athletics and academics. Our teachers have a knack for skilfully connecting our students to the world around them, while encouraging their confidence and creativity.

If you are thinking about joining the CMS community, I would invite you to contact me, and then to come by for a tour. I can assure you of our commitment to providing the best educational experience possible for your child(ren).

Sincerely,
Jennifer Connelly,
Principal
